How Losing Everything Led Me to Helping Others Find Their Way
If you’d told me ten years ago that I’d be sitting at my kitchen table, pouring my heart into email readings for people all over the world, I wouldn’t have believed you. Back then, my life was fast-paced and full of plans. I was juggling a busy career, making time for friends, and dreaming about all the things I wanted to achieve. Then, everything changed.
It started small—persistent tiredness, strange aches, and a feeling that I just couldn’t shake. I thought I was overdoing it, like so many of us do. But weeks turned into months, and before I knew it, my health had spiralled. Doctors ran tests and gave me endless possibilities, but eventually, I was diagnosed with a long-term illness. Suddenly, I was confined to my home, my career was gone, and even walking to the kitchen became a challenge some days.
I remember one particularly bad week. I was curled up on the sofa, watching the rain hit the window, wondering if this was all life had left for me. I felt hopeless. But out of nowhere, I had the urge to pull out my old tarot cards. They’d been gathering dust in the back of a drawer for years, but something told me to find them.
I shuffled the deck slowly, my hands shaking from the fatigue. The first card I pulled was The Star. I still get emotional thinking about it—this card is all about hope and renewal, a reminder that even after the darkest times, light returns. It was like the universe was speaking directly to me, reassuring me that my story wasn’t over.
From that moment, I started reading for myself daily. Those cards became my anchor, helping me find clarity in the chaos. I’d sit at my kitchen table, sipping tea and journaling about the messages the cards brought me. I began to feel something I hadn’t in months: purpose.
When friends and family noticed the change in me, they started asking for readings. I’ll never forget one of my first readings for a close friend who was going through a divorce. She told me afterwards, tears in her eyes, that the reading had given her the courage to start over and believe in herself again. That was the moment I realised this wasn’t just a hobby—it was something I was meant to do.
Word spread quickly, and soon I was receiving requests from people I didn’t even know. Because of my illness, meeting in person wasn’t an option, so I started doing readings via email. At first, I worried it wouldn’t feel as personal, but I discovered that it gave me the time and space to truly focus on each reading.
Now, over 8,000 readings later, I feel grateful every day for the chance to help others. I’ve worked with people at all stages of life—navigating heartbreak, career uncertainty, or simply feeling lost. Each reading reminds me of why I started this journey: to show others that even when life feels overwhelming, there’s always a way forward.
My illness changed everything, but it also gave me something precious: the chance to connect with people on a deeply personal level and help them uncover the light they might not yet see.
